SUMMARY:European Mobility Week in Funchal
DESCRIPTION:AHEAD will take part in the European Mobility Week\, taking pla
 ce in the city of Funchal from 16-22 September. This European initiative a
 ims to raise awareness among citizens and institutions about adopting more
  sustainable and energy-efficient behaviors.\n\nAHEAD’s participation wi
 ll be highlighted in two ways\, at a dedicated booth showcasing the projec
 t\, as part of the exhibition of initiatives supported by the Municipality
  of Funchal\, and during the conference “Electric Mobility: Contributio
 ns to the Energy Transition!”\, on 17 September\, co-organized by IST-ID
  and the Municipality of Funchal.\n\nThe conference will be opened by the 
 Deputy Mayor of the Municipality of Funchal\, who will address the strateg
 ic vision for mobility in Funchal as well as the projects undertaken by th
 e Municipality to foster mobility and accessibility. The program will then
  feature contributions from several AHEAD partners in Portugal:\n\n 	EEM 
 – Empresa de Eletricidade da Madeira\, with a presentation on  “Elect
 ric Mobility in the Regional Electricity Sector”\;\n 	INESC-ID - Institu
 to de Engenharia de Sistemas e Computadores - Investigação e Desenvolvim
 ento\, with the official presentation of the AHEAD\n\nThe event will also 
 include the presentation of the European project EV4EU and an intervention
  by the Regional Energy and Environment Agency of Madeira (AREAM)\, focusi
 ng on “Decarbonizing Mobility in the Sustainable Energy and Climate Acti
 on Plan for the Autonomous Region of Madeira (PAESC-RAM)”.\n\nAll speake
 rs will participate in a Q&amp\;A session open to the public\, encouraging
  dialogue and interaction with attendees. The conference will close with r
 emarks from the Municipality’s Deputy Mayor.\n\nThe participation of AHE
 AD in this initiative reinforces the project’s commitment to promoting e
 lectric mobility and the energy transition\, bridging research\, innovatio
 n\, and local action towards a more sustainable future.\n\nSee more inform
